Sales phases

1.
When can I apply for tickets?
.1

For the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, there will be three sales phases: Sales Phase (1), Sales Phase (2) and the Last-Minute Sales Phase.
Sales Phase (1) was composed of a random selection draw sales period and a first come first served sales period. The Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (1) started on 19 January 2022 and finished on 8 February 2022. The first come first served sales period of sales phase (1) started at 11:00 CET / 13:00 in Doha on 23 March and finished at 11:00 CET / 12:00 (midday) in Doha on 29 March. Therefore, sales phase (1) is now finished.
Sales Phase (2) started after the Final Draw and was composed of a random selection draw sales period and a first come first served sales period. The random selection draw sales period of sales phase (2) started at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 5 April 2022 and finished at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 28 April 2022. The first come first served sales period of sales phase (2) started at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 5 July 2022 and ended at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) in Doha on 16 August 2022. Therefore, sales phase (2) is now finished.
The Last-Minute Sales Phase is a first come first served sales period. The online Last-Minute Sales Phase on FIFA.com/tickets starts at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 27 September 2022 and runs until the end of the competition on 18 December 2022. In addition, tickets for the general public are available over the counter at the FIFA Main Ticketing Centre (Doha Exhibition & Convention Center – DECC) from 18 October 2022; and at the Ticketing Centre (Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena - ABHA Arena in Al Sadd) from 30 October. Both ticketing centres will be open until the final match day of the competition on 18 December 2022.
During the random selection draw sales periods in Sales Phases (1) and (2), ticket applicants could submit their ticket application at any time, without any preference given in respect of the submission date (i.e. earlier submissions were not given any preference and did not have a better chance of success than later submissions). In these sales periods, ticket purchases were not processed as a real-time transaction. All ticket applications submitted during the entire random selection draw sales periods were collected for the allocation of tickets via a random selection draw on a predetermined date after the closure of the corresponding sales period.
Ticket applicants who have been allocated tickets based on the ticket application submitted during the random selection draw sales period of sales phase (1), must have paid for their tickets from 11:00 CET / 13:00 Doha time on 8 March 2022 and by no later than 11:00 CET / 13:00 Doha time on 21 March 2022. Whereas ticket applicants who have been allocated tickets based on the ticket application submitted during the random selection draw sales period of sales phase (2) must have paid for their tickets between 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 31 May 2022 and 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time on 17 June 2022. Once these respective payment periods have ended, no further payments will be accepted and ticket applications for which full payment has not been received have been cancelled in their entirety. Ticket applicants were invited to check the details and status of their ticket applications by accessing their FIFA ticketing account.
During the first come first served sales periods in Sales Phases (1) and (2) and the Last-Minute Sales Phase, ticket applicants may submit their ticket application at any time throughout the respective first come first served and last-minute sales periods, with preference given in respect of the date and time of the submission (i.e. earlier submissions will be given preference and have a better chance of success than later submissions). During these sales periods, ticket purchases are processed as a real-time transaction, i.e. available tickets will be allocated directly to the ticket applicants. Ticket applicants will receive immediate confirmation of their successfully purchased tickets.

2.
What happens when I applied for tickets during random selection draw sales periods? How did random selection draw sales periods work?
.2

During random selection draw sales periods, ticket applicants were invited to apply for tickets that have been allocated pursuant to a random selection draw process conducted by FIFA Ticketing. During random selection draw sales periods, it made no difference when the application was submitted, as long as it was submitted prior to the end of the respective random selection draw application window, as all applications are processed together. If demand for a given match and/or ticket category has exceeded the available ticket inventory for the domestic or international market, random selection draw(s) took place at the end of the respective random selection draw sales period to determine which applicants are allocated tickets. FIFA Ticketing may have conducted random draws in any manner it deems appropriate, including by reserving certain percentages of tickets for allocation amongst certain applicants groups and markets (for example, based on the country of residency of applicants), and FIFA Ticketing’s decisions are final in all matters related to random selection draws. Efforts are made to ensure fairness by following established algorithms.

A ticket applicant may have been successful, partially successful or unsuccessful in being allocated the tickets for which they applied. All successful, partially and unsuccessful ticket applicants have been notified by email of the outcome of their applications. If their ticket application has been successful or partially successful, ticket applicants have received an email communication with further information about payment, including the steps to follow and the deadline to pay for their tickets. However, please note that it is responsibility of the ticket applicants to check the details and status of the ticket application they submitted during the random selection draw sales period by accessing their FIFA ticketing account.

The Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (1) started on 19 January 2022 and finished on 8 February 2022, while the Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (2) started on 5 April 2022 and finished on 28 April 2022.

3.
During a random selection draw, who determined which ticket applicants were successful and received tickets?
.3

As part of the random selection draw sales periods in Sales Phases (1) and (2), if demand for a given match and/or ticket category has exceeded the available ticket inventory for the domestic or international market, random selection draw(s) took place at the end of the respective random selection draw sales period to determine which applicants were allocated tickets. FIFA Ticketing may have conducted random draws in any manner it deems appropriate, including by reserving certain percentages of tickets for random allocation amongst certain groups of applicants and markets (for example, based on the country of residency of applicants), and FIFA Ticketing’s decisions are final in all matters related to random selection draws. Efforts are made to ensure fairness by following established algorithms.
If tickets for a given match in a certain category were unavailable, FIFA Ticketing tried to allocate a higher or lower category if the ticket applicant expressed their consent during the ticket application process.
The inventory remaining after each random selection draw period has been made available in the next first come first served sales period, during which ticket purchases were processed as a real-time transaction to the extent that inventory remains available.
The Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (1) started on 19 January 2022 and finished on 8 February 2022, while the Random Selection Draw sales period of sales phase (2) started on 5 April 2022 and finished on 28 April 2022.
